Southwest Florida Technical Institute, owned by Quality Health Care Services, LLC was founded in 2002 by Lori L. Barnes RN, BSN, LNC

Lori brings 15 years of medical experience, initially trained as a Nursing Assistant; she worked her way up the ladder from C.N.A to LPN to RN and finally to the ARNP level. In 2008 she attended Broward Community College's Legal Nurse Consultant program. Lori completed her BSN degree with Chamberlain College of Nursing and her MSN at South University's Adult Nurse Practioner program. Lori has served as a committee member for the Florida Department of Education "Health Science Curriculum Committee" from 2009-2010. She has worked for several years as a psychiatric nurse in a hospital based crisis stabilization unit as well as in the Emergency Department.

Southwest Florida Technical Institute is a private institution licensed by the Florida Department of Education and holds an approval to conduct Nursing and CEU programs by the Florida Board of Nursing. Our staff consist of a variety of experienced health care workers including BSN/MSN trained RN's, LPNS, and other qualified health care providers.

Cancellations will only be accepted in person, at the school and must have a cancellation form turned in and signed by the appropriate office staff and the student to be eligible for a credit. Refunds will be given in 30 days by a company check which must be picked up in person by the student. Funds will not be given to anyone other than the student. Cancellation after 40% of the enrolled program results in no refunds.

All applicants must be at least 18 years of age or hold a High School Diploma or GED unless a parent gives consent to attend classes. Most examinations for licesure require a GED (or) HSD to sit for the State/ National examination and to obtain the State License/certification or National Certification. If you attend classes and do not qualify for testing or licensure we are not held responsible.

Students who are under 18 years of age by enrollment must provide proof of a High School Diploma or a GED (or) a parent or guardian must enroll the student to attend classes. It is the responsibility of the student (or) parent/gaurdian of the student who is under 18 to conduct research prior to enrolling in the program to be sure that the student meets the criteria for testing and certification/licensure.
 
Students with a criminal background may not be eligible to sit for the Nursing Assistant examination at the completion of their program. Please call 1-850-245-4444 to verify eligibility prior to enrollment.
 
Students who wish to enroll at the institution must not have failed any portion of the Florida State Nursing Assistant Examination three times to attend a "test preparation course". Those who have failed the Nursing Assistant exam (3) times must enroll into the Board approved 120 hour C.N.A course, this requirement is per the Florida Board of Nursing.

Master/Bachelor/Associate Prepared Registered Nurses are on staff.
 
5.
Director of Education is available by phone to help in understanding curriculum content.

State/National testing is located on site.

Job assistance is available to each student.

refresher, no questions asked *restrictions apply*
