120 Hour Program - Cost $930
Weeks 1 & 2
Class Times: Monday-Friday 9-2PM or 3-8pm
Week 3
Clinical Times Monday-Friday 6:45am-2pm
This program is only available at our Bradenton Location.
This course will enable the student to be hired at a number of health care facilities as a CNA after taking and passing the state examination.
Employment settings include: Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Clinics, and Psychiatric Units.
Prep Programs:
Currently under Florida Law, a person who wishes to become certified as a CNA does not need to take any class to do so, HOWEVER... In January 2013 the law will be removed and to become certified you will be required to attend a 120 hour Board of Nursing and Board of Education approved program.When this law is implemented if you have not tested prior to the new law taking effect you will no longer be eligible for certification. This means if you attended ANY PREP PROGRAM you will not be able to test. The Board of Nursing has already started implementing small changes such as requireing a security locked list of all CNA graduates from APPROVED programs to send the list from the directors email with a specialized code that only the director of the program knows. This will verify that 1) it is in fact coming from the directors email address, and 2) the code is correct. The board of nursing also calls the director to verify that the list is correct. We will continue to offer PREP programs at our Brandon and North Port offices until October 2012 after which we will be switching to the 120 hour program. If you are an SCF student or wanting to enroll into a PN or RN program you must attend the 120 Hour program.
Brandon Office Prep Program: 2 weeks, 9-1 or 4-8pm Monday-Thursdays $450 take $50 off when you enroll early.
Brandon Phlebotomy Course: 4 weeks (80) hours, 1pm-4pm Monday- Thursday $550 take $50 off when you enroll early.
Be advised that this course requires one week of online module completion using a computer and three weeks of hands on venipuncture training.
North Port Prep Program: $300 2 weeks
